Just another driver clogging up the beltway, I travel two hours to and from work everyday when I’d rather be at home in the kitchen trying different techniques, cuisines, and recipes.
The process of making dinner—from dicing vegetables and simmering sauces to preparing the grill and serving a finished meal—is my ultimate wind-down after a long day, and yet there are those days traffic is bad, work was hard, and as I pull into the grocery store to grab something for dinner, I fight the urge to stop at the Chioptle next door or, even worse, Five Guy’s down the street.
This blog is for those out there like me, who want to prepare delicious meals, but are hampered by time, energy, or willpower. I’m hardly the model home cook, yet as I push my own skills in the kitchen, I hope to inspire others with recipes that break through a hectic day and leave us with only the memories of delicious food.
